About wolfs studio

artist chris collins

I have always loved the arts. However, I did not start painting until a few years ago when my wife wanted me to paint some flowers on a gate we used to keep the dogs out of the utility room. I found that I really enjoyed it and began looking for other things to paint. Before then, I mostly sketched anything I could think of. I played around with both soft and oil pastels for awhile. Then I found that I enjoyed painting more than anything. I have found that I like using acrylic paints mostly. All the examples found in the studio room have been done in either acrylics or soft pastels.

Painting has helped fill a void in my life since I am disabled and home alone most days while my wife is working. After our youngest son was married, we turned his room into my art studio. This has given me much more space to work on projects. Currently, I am planning on two more wall murals in my studio. I will post pictures as they are finished.

I'm not a professional in any way. I am learning as I go and enjoying every minute of it. Photo realism is what I enjoy mostly. Taking a photo and turning it into a painting two or three times the size is a tasking job but one worth doing. Lately, some people have contacted me and asked to have paintings done. This is something very new to me that people would think I am good enough to do a painting for them. That is why I give my very best to do a painting that they can be proud of.

If, after checking out this site, you would like a painting done, go to the contact button and send me an email. I promise to respond as soon as possible at which time we can work out the details.
